This is probably the only time I have been happy about gaining a pound!
My weekly weigh-in this morning showed me at 243, which is one pound more than last Friday's weigh-in. Obviously, the bad news is I gained a pound. But the good news is I only gained one pound after my bout with the flu. I knew I had put some of my 10 pound loss back on after the flu because I was so dehydrated when I had it that my weight could not have been accurate last week, so for my net weight to only be +1 tells me I'm on the right track.
That means I'm -9 over two weeks net. Averaging 4.5 pounds a week is pretty serious weight loss. I think most professionals will tell you that a one to two pounds a week is a good number to shoot for. I'm sure I will begin to plateau in the coming weeks, but I can already tell a difference in the amount of energy I have and the way my pants fit.
Of course, my plan all along was to shrink my way into a new old wardrobe :)
