I lost another pound this week. Officially down to 242!
I know that doesn't sound like much, but I was not sure what the scales were going to say this week. As I mentioned a couple of days ago, it has been a stressful week around my house. It's mainly because this was the first week my wife went back to work since the birth of our son. It's been a crazy time.
So, ultimately, what this tells me is that even though I know I didn't master my healthy diet this week, I was able to stay on track. Taking the stairs everyday, eliminating the snacks and keeping the "everything in moderation" mantra seems to be doing the trick ... for now!
I am really having trouble with an efficient, effective exercise program. It all comes down to time. By the time I get home, eat dinner, clean up, get my kids a bath and get them to bed, it's already around 9 p.m. After that, I just want to relax for an hour before I iron my clothes for the next day and go to bed. I'm already getting up at 5:45 a.m. every morning to get to work on time (I have an hour-long commute), so there is no time in the morning. I guess I'm going to have to get serious about taking some walks during lunch here at work.
Does anyone have any tips? I would love to hear them!

Doug, is there anyway that you, the wife, and kids could go walking either before or after supper? Make it a family thing?
That's a good idea. I think the issue is simply making the time to do it and sticking with it.
Maybe my wife can make us do it and stick with it. She is much more organized than I am!
Last week, our family went on a "night" walk...the boys (12 and 4) loved it! My husband and I get home from work around 5:30 and we ate a small dinner and left around 6:00 pm. It was great. COLD, but enjoyed the exercise and joy is brought our whole family. If only we could make it a habit!
