So, over the past two or three weeks, I had completely stopped utilizing the stairs at work. It was back to the elevator for me.
Call it a lapse, or better yet, just call it laziness on my part. I just didn't feel like going up five flights of stairs at 7:30 in the morning with a laptop bag and whatever else I was carrying. I did really well for a while, but one day I just stopped.
Well, you know what. I can really tell a difference. When I was taking the stairs in the morning, I noticed that I was more alert through the morning hours (I'm sure because I kick-started my metabolism). Also, I just felt better about it.
So, this morning, I went back to the stairs. Was it difficult? Yes. Am I glad I did it. Yes.
Hopefully, I will continue this routine stay on track!
