Unbelieveably, we're at the end of our journey. Ten months ago, we set out to lose 10 percent of our body weight before this date, and here we are, so how did we do?
Before I get to my results, I need to fill you in a little since my last post. A little over a week ago, I posted that I was at 233 pounds and still needed to lose 6 pounds to reach my goal. I haven't posted since, but I had a good week of healthy eating, except for one day where I completely gave in. That day was Friday, and I went to a fried chicken lunch that was probably more than my entire daily allowance of calories.
Obviously, this was not the best meal choice in my quest to meet my goal. However, I didn't eat any dinner that night because I wasn't feeling well.
So, I got on the scale on Saturday to see just how FAR I was from my goal, not how CLOSE I was. In what can only be described as a shock, I was almost there. 228.
I don't know why other than maybe it is just a fluctuation, plus I was fighting some bad sinus problems over the past few days, which did affect my appetite and had me craving large cups of water, which is always a great weight loss tool. Whatever it was, I was a pound away from my goal.
So Saturday, I was very good, got in a little exercise and ate very healthy, low calorie meals throughout the day. Again, I also drank plenty of water.
So Sunday arrives, 10/10, the end of the journey, and I decide to get on the scale. See below for the results.
Yep, that's legit. What is that, about 226? That would put me one pound past my goal!
To say I'm proud is an understatement. Never mind the 10 in 10 goal. I have not been less than 230 pounds in probably at least 10 years. I'm on my way to a healthy weight, and 10 in 10 was the spark to make it happen.
I hope you reached your goal as well. I don't think we're done yet! More to come.
