Wow!

I just read in an article online that by the year 2015, 75% of Americans will be either overweight or obese. That's unbelievable to me. three out of every four of us are cutting our lives short because we can't cut back on the junk food that consumes us.

In the classic case of the pot calling the kettle black, I can't believe we have let ourselves reach this point. The largest epidemic in this country is not H1N1 or cancer or diabetes, it's obesity! (and cancer and diabetes can be linked back to your weight).

The article, which is an interview with the U.S. Surgeon General, made another good point that we shouldn't measure our health by the size of our clothing. It is possible to be healthy and not wear the smallest clothes.
