For the first time today, I had the opportunity to go out into the community and speak about the 10 in 10 program and what we are attempting.
The audience was the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Managers (I hope I got that right), a group of folks from across the state having their quarterly business meeting.
It was nice to have the opportunity to visit with a group about this program, which is still only two months old. We've come a long way, but we've still got a ways to go.
A special thanks to the group for serving me lunch. Even though they had delicious bar-b-q, beans, slaw, potato salad, fruit and cookies, I did very well, sticking with one pork sandwich, a spoonful of beans, some fruit and unsweet tea. No cookies for me!
I hope I said the right things and convinced some of them to join us on our journey.
BTW, I entered some new members in the database, and our group is only 1700 pounds short of 100,000 pounds in starting weight! I can't wait to hear see if we can lose 10,000 pounds as a group!
